Roommate versus Spouse

Remember having a roommate? If you had a good roommate, you tried really hard to make it work. Nothing worse than losing a good roommate. You know the one that paid the rent on time, cleaned up after themselves and took care of the place.

This all changes when you replace the roommate with a spouse.

For a woman, a spouse is much more work than a roommate. A good roommate does their own laundry, buys their own food and shares in the household work. AND, you don't have to sleep with them.

Is a booty call really worth having to do all the menu planning, prep and clean up, house cleaning, laundry washing, drying and folding as well as 90% of the childcare duties for someone who snores and hogs your covers?

Katherine Hepburn had it right. "I often wonder whether men and women really suit eachother. Perhaps they should live next door and just visit now and then."
